S.K.Chaudhary Educational Trust (SKCET) and its institutions entered 30th year of its existence and glorious journey in the education sector.Significantly, SKCET’s Shankara Group of Institutions had the blessings from His Holiness Saraswati Shankaracharya of Kancheepuram.
Chairman Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudharynot only successfully led all its institutions from the front but also ensured quality Technical and Management education among students. Striving hard the SKCET continued its on-groundevents/ conferences/seminars/workshops even in the year 2022-23in keeping with the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” spirit.
SKCET’s agriculture arm, Madhubani-based Krishi Vigyan Kendrarecently concludedits “Krishi & Swasthya Mahotsav Mega Agri Expo 2023” from March 11-13,2023, which many distinguished dignitaries including Central and Bihar ministers besides eminent scientists and farmers from more than 30 countries attended.

Like previous years, SKCET’s Shankara Group of Institutions organised the 2023 edition of Shankara Global Hackathon and National Youth Fest in its Jaipur campus on March 3-4, 2023.The fest showcased national and cultural heritage of India through various performances amidst distinguished dignitaries which included Rajasthan Governor His Excellency Kalraj Mishra, ambassadors, ex ministers, technocrats, academicians including Vice Chancellors of Rajasthan Technical University-Kota Shri S K Singh and Shri Anil Mathur, Jodhpur MBM University VC Shri Ajay Sharma, bureaucrats and media persons and eminent people from reputed establishments from across the length and breadth of the country. This11-day fest continued with first 5 days for intra-level and next 6 days for inter-college competitions in various fields; and around Rs 15 Lakh cash prize were given. What’s more, the Shankara Group of Institutions management catered to boarding, lodging and all other facilities for all participants, guests and faculty coordinators. This event revolved around academics which made this fest most sought after among the institutions across the country.
Besides His Excellency Shri Kalraj Mishra who was Chief Guest for the inaugural ceremony of the Shankara Global Hackathon and National Level Youth Fest (SITE-2023), several distinguished dignitaries and half a dozen vice-chancellors graced the occasion as Guests of Honour including former Governor of Bihar and prominent educationalist Dr D.Y.Patil, Trade Commissioner, Russia Mr. Evgeny Griva, VC/Rajasthan Technical University, VC/Bikaner Technical University Dr Ambarish Vidhyarthi, VC/MBM University, Jodhpur, VC/ASTU (Gauhati), Assam Dr. Narendra Chaudhary, VC/SKNAU Agricultural University Dr Balraj Singh, Director General/ MANAGE, GoI Hyderabad Dr P. Chandrasekhara, Director General/Ni-MSME, GoI, Hyderabad Dr Glory Swaroopa and Mr Nasir Zaidi, MD/Pacific Travels, with PRAVASI INDIANS magazine as its Media Partner. PRAVASI INDIANS was well represented by its Editor-in-Chief Shri Ajit Kumar Jha, Chief Operating Officer Rajesh Kumar and Administration and Finance chief Chandan K Singh.

Besides 27 members from Lithuania, as many as 200 teams participated in the Shankara Global Hackathon which drew media-persons from Rajasthan as well as from across the country.
Another highlight of this 24-hrnon-stop Hackathon competition was the presence of few high-profile mentors & judges who inspired all participants to successfully execute their respective projects to the best of their abilities undeterred by obstacles. Prominent Mentors/judges were seen visiting each team and discussing their projects with students. Almost all team members gave their best and bagged some prize. The Shankara management and faculty members were also seen interacting with parents and even seeking their objective suggestions for advancement of the institution. On the Concluding Day, all the successful competitors and meritorious students including those who secured the first 10 positions at University Examinations last year; those who topped last Annual Examinations at Shankara’s various courses/programmes; those who represented Rajasthan at various national competitions; those who won various academic, sports and cultural competitions of SITE-2023, were called on the stage one by one where Chief Guest and Guests of Honour present at the event gave away the Shankara Academic Excellence Awards/Scholarships. The occasion also saw the release of Special Volumes of half yearly technical journal Technikon and quarterly agricultural journal Kisan International by Rajasthan Governor His Excellency Kalraj Mishra Ji on March 3, 2023.
A mission to take education to the impoverished and weaker section
It was founded in the year 1993 with Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary as its president-cum-Managing Trustee and other renowned academicians/technocrats as Trustees on advisory board, with the mission to provide educational facilities to the poor residents of rural areas and students from weaker sections of the society and keep the charity work on.
Founder-chairman’s exposure to the people belonging to the backward areas and weaker sections of the society shaped his vision to promote education, both managerial and technical, agricultural, and medical sciences in various parts of the country. Dr Sant Kumar Chaudhary is a mentor in taking education to the nook and corner of the society and establishing various institutions in rural areas to motivate students belonging to the weaker sections of the society.
Precisely the reason, SKCET has been steadfast in pursuing academic excellence which alone has been guiding principle for Dr. Chaudhary and his Board which led them to practise the mission of social distribution, equanimity in education and progressive development. In last one year,the SKCET has done commendable work in fields of technical education, teachers’ training, healthcare, agriculture, skill development among students and their placements. Besides, it organised International Hackathon and Conference on Entrepreneurship and Startups in partnership with the European Union.
To add glory to the Institute which brought global recognition and laurels to the country, the Government of Kyrgyz Republic invited Chairman, SKCET Dr Sant Kumar Chaudhary to address the World Rectors Conclave in Bishkek which actually pavedthe way for international collaborations in the field of education.
As a recognition of his charitable initiatives, the Government of India recently nominated Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary as a member of the Governing Council of National Institute for MSME.
An eminent educationalist. Dr Chaudharyis also member of various important committees of governmental, national and international bodies. In recognition of his contribution in the field of education, the SKCET president Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary was awarded Honorary Doctorate by Aleksandras Stulginskis University, the Government of Lithuania, a member of Association of European Universities.
Adding another feather to his already embellished cap, Dr. Chaudhary was also awarded Bharat Gaurav Award,an international Award by NRI Association in the British House of Commons, London on June 19, 2019.

What is unique, the SKCET under stewardship of Dr. Chaudhary not only imparts quality education as per the ethos, sentiments and needs of the local economy but also give the much-needed global exposure to students.
To globalize the education sector, the SKCET entered into collaborations with Russian Federation institutes. The Deputy Trade Commissioner of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in India and business consulting tycoon Mr Yevgeny Griva himself was present to pledge his support to expanding ties between them.
Also, the SKCET had collaborated with MSDIR, Dubai (UAE). Accordingly, 60 management students went to UAE for corporate skill training and international placements. Also, the SKCET has international alliance with 11 institutes. This Technikon edition was held with an eye on not only disseminating knowledge of our stakeholders but also to fostering new collaborations.
Shankara Group of Institutions also takes pride in its collaboration with Association of European Universities for exchange of faculties and students between them, with the entire expenses for the Shankara delegation’s trip to Europe and return borne by the Association of European Universities. Way back in September 2016, the SKCET president also addresseda plenary session held at Aleksandras Stulginskis University (ASU), Lithuania. As an exchange, Mr Minvydas Liegus, Head of International Deptt of ASU and Dr Raimundas Rekuiza of ASU attended similar conference at Jaipur in 2018 and 2017 respectively. What’s more, another ASU Faculty Dr. Zita Kriauciunien visited the SKCET’s prestigious agricultural institute and Madhubani-based Krishi Vigyan Kendra during Nov 2017.
As a matter of privilege, Dr. Sant Kumar Chaudhary has been invited to be part of an international delegation to attend Vytautas Magnum University (VMU), Kaunas, Lithuania from April 24-28, 2023 to further expand the exchange programe between VMU and SGI. Recently,10 students attended the exchange program during 2022-23, with scholarship from Association of European Universities. Keeping the global trend of international collaborations, Shankara Group of Institutions has grown academically in last few years.
